Living Independently

Over the last 20 years I've had to overcome a body that has progressed from that of a natural athlete to a C4-5 Quadriplegic.  Adapting to that kind of change takes a great deal of creativity. Although looking back, discovering that Crisis is a Creative Process and being accompanied on this journey by Evelyn Dellosa were gifts of angelic proportions.

During the same period two major possibilities also presented themselves, and were pursued, that allowed me to remain independent.  They included the great fortune to be involved in the development of many groundbreaking projects related to Assistive Technology as well as Housing and Services for Persons with Disabilities.  Both of those opportunities allowed me to acquire an abundance of practical experience in adapting to living with a disability.

The most dynamic element throughout this journey has been being open to and receiving the help of a continuous flow of dedicated and caring people. Thanks to this combination of people, creativity and technology I've been allowed to remain and develop independently in the community far beyond anyone's, especially my own, expectations.

Accompanying me on the journey over the last 10 years has been an amazing lady by the name of Evelyn Dellosa.  She has taught me, through example, that life is how you see it and how you see it what you get.  Her unshakable ability to move on through life's disappointments seeing only what is next and what is good has been astounding. Together we have developed solutions to problems and explored territory of unimaginable potential.

As a result of this combination of positives we've established Amazing Ease to enable us to share some of our accumulated knowledge.  We like to call it Facilitating Lifestyle Transitions. Just click on Amazing Ease as we create more details as to a how we might share some of our knowledge with you.  Maybe together we can help each other or someone we know adapt to life altering changes due to physical disability.
